so? let them. they'll just make themselves look stupid in the process. and if you've already removed them, you won't even have to watch the fallout. it would also be more proof that you're better off without them.
It's funny that the people who are most afraid and vocal about removing someone are the people who react the way they wouldn't want other people to when unfriended.
