then unfollow them. if someone was being this much of a pain in the ass on my timeline, that's what i'd do. i unfollow people for posting too much drama or real life stuff that i don't care about. even if it's rp related, if it's about games/fandoms i'm not in or don't care about, i'm muting. if that's all they're doing, i'm unfollowing.
i've unfollowed all the ones i could, but the two left are in my game, and one is a castmate. i wanna see plotting plurks.

i don't think she belongs in games, period. she has a proven track record of completely ignoring boundaries and making everyone around her uncomfortable. whether it's from a disability or a stubborn refusal to change doesn't matter when the net result is the same. she's toxic.
I'll be shocked if they let Phone Guy in. Aside from "awkward guy who got killed by robots", there's nothing to him.

Agreed. As a mod, I try to prioritize game duties over my personal player tags. I'd rather focus on those tags than answer someone's crazy hypothetical questions that have no bearing on the game or the characters.

Yeah, that does seem to be the case. And I think Wankgate can be useful at times, but it's also harmful if used the wrong way.
My beef is primarily with people who think Wankgate is a way to HMD in public. It's fine to use it as a screaming pillow if you keep the details vague enough that the other person wouldn't recognize themselves as the source of the problem. If the details are too specific for a vague rant, I would turn to a friend for screaming pillow purposes, because 9 times out of 10, it's more that I'm annoyed but not to the point where I think the person needs crit. So that's on me, not the person I'm peeved about, because I didn't put a comment in their HMD; usually because it's just something that irritates me personally and not an actual flail-worthy problem.
But if you go on Wankgate, and the person figures out someone is wanking about them specifically and gets their feelings hurt? You fucked up. That's on you. You can't just say "Well they don't take crit very well" and wash your hands of it, because that makes you an asshole. Own up to that shit. Wanking isn't a substitute for crit and this isn't a vague HMD people can use hoping their targets get the hint. If someone is being toxic, like Tally or Tora, they deserve what they get because other people are being warned about that shitty behavior. That's when I really like what Wankgate does. But getting huffy because someone feels like they're betrayed and attacked? I think they're justified for feeling that way, and of course they're going to want to fight back.

for better or worse, WWE conducts its current programming as if every single weekly show is a pick-up point, constantly explaining what's been going on, how we got there, and what will happen, etc etc. Lots of recaps and that sort of thing.
Beyond that, you pick a news site and stick with that. Wrestling Inc is the common aggregator, but for actual info I use Uproxx With Spandex.

For me, I babysat a lot in high school, and this one kid was really into wrestling. While playing with him, I ended up learning a lot about how cartoony and ridiculous it was (there's a character who's an actual zombie). I wandered away for a while, but happened upon a really solid "good vs evil" match that made me feel feelings while flipping channels (Daniel Bryan and CM Punk tagging against the Shield) and I was like "OK BACK INTO THIS SOAP OPERA."
If you were interested in starting up with the new stuff, now's actually a really good time I think! They're in the middle of a reboot of sorts, so Monday and Tuesday's shows will probably be full of exposition and recaps to embrace new fans. Live shows run Monday and Tuesday nights on the USA Network (in the states) at 8pm EST.
Actually watching the full shows can be a little overwhelming, though, since it's five hours a week. For a new viewer, I'd recommend watching the shortened highlights on Hulu: http://www.hulu.com/network/wwe
