Players who are toxic in combination. Individually, they are no problem, not at all disruptive, but then they feed off of one another in a weird codependent loop of enabling and become some kind of bitchy drama superstorm that always causes mod migraines.

If it was possible I would keep them both in game but ban them from interacting with one another.

this is more of a mod question: have you ever actually taken action for a player's poor activity? how'd it go?

not that they don't make AC, but that they do it by combining hiatuses and strikes, or otherwise scrambling for it every month.

it seems like something that'd be potentially more trouble than it's worth to act on, but i'm not a mod and i'm curious

not a mod myself but the mods of the game I'm in actually did it with a player. they had a habit of last minute proofs + hiatusing/striking all over the place so the mods said "look, next ac you gotta have an extra proof and have one proof be completed before the last week of the month" or something like that. there wasn't much of a fuss ingame but iirc, the player dropped next ac period because surprise surprise, they couldn't make the extra ac.

ac mod here and we've done this at our game. we also encourage players who aren't playing beyond their small group to tag out more often, and i've only seen one player complain about that before. ironically, it was identical to the time someone whined that we rejected their activity because they were only threading with one character.

Mod here. We've had to request extra activity on several players that were just skating by, and it's more effort than its worth sometimes. If players aren't complaining, it's just extra work for us.

The way I figure it, if no one is making a complaint to us, then it's not hurting anyone but them.

I keep track of how many hiatuses/strikes people have taken over a year and will cut them off if they go over a certain amount

not very often, but yes. the player would hiatus one month, take a strike the next, and then make ac the third month to avoid being kicked. after over a year of this we told them they had to make ac for 3 straight months or leave.
