I just recently joined entranceway and I am seeing quite a bit of drama already. there is definitely a lot of wank there but I guess no one really posts here, so we never hear about it
i looked at this game recently and got major 2009 vibes. there's just something really outdated about it.

why does anyone like any character from this game? everyone legit looks like shit. prompto literally looks like a rash with downs syndrome. they have free! style fan art where everyone is drawn better and like actual muscledads (or pretty princesses because this honestly feels like ff7 seme/uke bullshit all over again)
also why is the voice acting as bad as it is and why isn't anyone talking about how awful 2001 ranma 1/2 vhs dub fucking awful it sounds

Holy shit. I knew there'd been some kind of drama with Snow in Ataraxion but I had no idea what the story was. And here we are years later where she's only changed by getting better at disguising evidence and flying below the radar to be a more effective bully. Wow.
unclear on where this person got their deets, but i can confirm what they said about snow's continued involvement in the mod team. she continued to impact plots (both major and player plots) and she was obvious on her plurk that she was still moderating the game. afaik it was initially passed off as her advising the new mods but it became clear to many players that she was an active member of the mod team and deciding player direction. she pretended to leave the team so she could become an anon mod and continue in the same way leading to some lack of clarity between what snow would say to someone and what a mod would say to someone since she'd speak with authority on her plurk.
this is one person's word against someone else's but i saw proof at the time that she continued to mod. (i know i know but it was shared in confidence)

I wasn't in Each, but going on what I know from Blood Tithe, just because she *had* no inside information doesn't for a second mean that she didn't *claim* she did as a way to manipulate people. This would be completely par for the course with her.
Information doesn't have to be true to be powerful. If you tell someone in a private chat that you have some secret that you're telling them in confidence, it's not hard to see how manipulation can happen there. This is a big part of Snow's M.O. because in private chats she makes everyone feel like they're her super special friend and she's got their back and is going to look out for them and take care of them, so they tend to believe all the lies she feeds.
It's also one of the reasons why people remain afraid to drop deets on BT even once they've dropped. Like shit, I know this thing that Snow said to me, but she told me it was a secret that she wasn't telling anyone else. I don't know if maybe she did really tell someone else the same stuff but...if she really only just told me and I say it now, the moment I do it's going to out me and then who knows where things might go. I don't have skeletons in my RP closet, but anon can still be vicious as fuck.

either you never actually played in each while snow was in charge or you just had things go bad for your character once and never got over it. yeah, things went poorly for characters sometimes. things also went really well for characters sometimes. it always looked like a pretty even mix of both to me, which was what made things exciting and probably why the game got so unmanagably large. the only people i ever saw complaining while the game was active were the people who didn't get everything going their way and threw fits over it because how dare they have to ever play anything negative or deal with any ic consequences

frankly just as someone who was playing in each at the time but not in contact with snow, if she was still in contact with the mods then they were doing a shit job of enacting any of this "shadow modding". the game quality dipped really obviously after snow left because the new mods clearly didn't want to deal with all that work. i feel like there'd at least have been some consistency in the way things were run before and after she stepped down if she was still involved afterwards.

the horrible baseless made-up tragic pasts and bullshit edgelord headcanons. like my pet canon is kind of grimdark if you look past the bright colors and doe-eyed character designs, but there's like zero basis for a lot of the 'this character was physically tortured for years' and 'this character was a victim of human experimentation' and 'this character's family was really abusive and now they're a drug addict' headcanons i see all the damn time. for fuck's sake, why are y'all allergic to a character having a mostly normal history?
