which makes it even worse, I had her on due to a previous game but removed her after she showed her ass, and she did indeed post a lot of art. If she has enough time to draw merjacks, she had enough time to do her obligations.
ok so this person is trash and thought they were going to get away with it. you can tell they didn't give a fuck about refunding the money until they got publicly called out and had to turn the waterworks on. they deserve to be dragged
but i don't get this whitewashing claim. at all. both of those pics look like standard cartoon anime shit
not commenting in the plurk since it's a shit show but the person crying whitewashing needs to shut up. you gave her an icon of an ambiguously brown character. her only crime was making them look like moeshit, but the commissioner should have known what to expect from their style when they commissioned them in the first place.
don't get me wrong, glacian is the alpha asshole here and i'm glad that she's being called out. but trek having her useless rageboner blocked is fucking hysterical
mte. i don't usually like moeshit but that's cute as fuck, and the coloring looks nice. i assume she colored those herself? if i were in the market for drawn icons, this person would be one of my top choices
I was confused too because Glacian does get pinged later in the plurk, but her first appearance in the plurk (which is the laughable "whoa I was going to contact you today" claim) is unprompted.
it's because the skin tone is a few shades lighter i guess which is hilarious because the references were colored from what i can tell so you could literally just copy the color over.
though this might be from the same people who don't understand ambient lighting and think unless a character has the exact same hex code color skin every time they're being whitewashed so who knows.
What's really funny about her making that anon plurk is that now she's experiencing a similar phenomenon here - a bunch of people, spurred on by Pudding's initial plurk, are also coming out to confirm she's a terrible artist to commission. Funny how that works!
I have a friend who is basically living vicariously through their character, since they're chronically ill and can't do anything else. they get really invested in playing the character and there's massive ic/ooc bleedthrough. they're also super depressed when they can't play the character plots they want to play, because the characters that this one has CR with are doing other things that disallow other huge things from happening at just that moment. they also have the tendency to get bored and do really stupid, shitty things IC that they want to retcon immediately upon doing, because they can't handle the fact that in character actions = in character consequences.
someone in a game i just joined wants to add me on plurk. the thing is, i remember being friended to them in the past, and they were insufferably rude and elitist about everything you could think of. i remember them barging into plurks and basically shooting down harmless theorizing and headcanons and being a huge bitch for no reason. they were namedropped here in the past, even, for being such a bitch.
but that was years ago. i'm pretty hesitant to add them out of fear they haven't changed but i also don't want to say "i remember you being a shithead years ago and would rather not interact with you". should i just bite the bullet and add them and hope for the best?
white people are so fucking annoying about this shit. listen, i am brown and my shade is not consistent throughout. i'm lighter in some places than i am in others, i'm not just uniformly one shade of brown. i get darker if i'm in the sun for a long time and i get paler if i don't see the sun for a while. in different lighting i can look really fair or really dark.
sorry for the rant here but fuck i just hate this shit. a character being not being the EXACT shade of brown you've allowed yourself to be comfortable with is not fucking whitewashing.
Since it's plurk, and therefore very easy to remove people after you've added them, I'd probably friend them and give them the chance to not be insufferable, then unfriend them immediately if they were, but it wouldn't be wrong if you wanted not to add them at all.
bruh i am agreeing with you i think this shit is stupid too. they seem to consider the art unusable because the skin color isn't the EXACT one in the other art despite them looking basically the same. if i saw those two pieces next to each other i would think it was the same character without issue.
