I hate this kind of thing. It's okay to have your character be aware of social issues if it makes sense for them to, but having them talk like they're reading out of a tumblr blog is almost always ooc.
Yeah, for the longest time she was perfectly nice to me. ...which led to me ending up being the Fedora Wrangler for a while. Regret.

totally with you, it's stupid. i play a character from a pre-modern canon and once had him lectured for not being appropriately up on his tumblrisms by a bunch of characters from a very similar setting, and i genuinely do not get the point of playing historical characters and then having them vomit socjus talking points everywhere. so sorry my character isn't a blazing standard-bearer for modern liberalism, but i thought i was supposed to be roleplaying.
bonus: the equally guilt-trippy plurks about their real life issues. i don't even want to hear about your real life, let alone the shit that apparently makes you cry all the time.
the next time someone does this, i'm going to have one of my feudal-era characters lecture them on the merits of fiscal conservatism. not because i believe in it (i don't), but because i want them to see how fucking ridiculous they look.
I was friends with Murder for a while. She sometimes had good plot ideas, and even though her characters were ooc they were sometimes fun to work off of because they were so dramatic, but her constant ic/ooc bleed always ruined it in the end because you could tell when she was getting mad oocly for anyone having ic conflict with them. Also all the sexual stuff she headcanoned about her characters got to be really weird.
Over time her toxic bullshit got to be too much for me and when I started criticizing her for it she did a full 180 and got hostile with me, too, so I dropped her like a bad habit. That was her pattern with a lot of her friends. She'd act friendly with people right up until they criticized her for being a dick to them or someone else and then she did a full 180 and acted like they were an insufferable bitch for daring to call her on her shitty behavior. Then either she'd cut off contact with them or they'd cut off contact with her. She was just burning bridges left and right until she got iced out of DWRP altogether.
