I can't wait to play this game but I don't think I'll be able to talk to anyone about it because apparently I'm the only one on my timeline that doesn't give a fuck about the convoluted plot (I've only played 1&2) or characters (esp Org XIII). I just want to Disney world hop and fight Final Fantasy peeps. :/

Why. The Hell. Is Axel giving Saix ice cream. Saix.

I know that they are on better terms here in the game than they were at their canon points but there are still big issues between them that I don't think Axel would be able to overlook. Saix bullied his two best friends. Made their lives miserable. He fought Roxas in a berserker rage. He dehumanised and belittled Xion at EVERY opportunity he got. He betrayed Axel. Tried to kill him. Why is he sharing ice cream with him, when that is the one thing that we have seen, time and time again in canon, as being a sacrosanct and very important, personal thing that is shared between him, Roxas and Xion?

Now I'm not saying that I have problems with him being friends with Saix. I don't personally understand it but it's between you and Ana and it's no skin off Xion's nose, but ICE CREAM. You know how important that is. And the fact that Axel is offering ice cream to Saix of all people is nothing short of a massive betrayal of Roxas and Xion and what their friendship stands for. The fact that he gave Saix ice cream without even a tiny smidgen of a thought about how the other two would take it is actually pretty damn hurtful, coming from the perspective that he would KNOWN that it's a big deal to them, and how Saix is decidedly persona non-grata with them, and yet there's not even an inkling in his consciousness that this is something they'd be upset about if they ever found out.

They would be. Xion would be devastated, and Roxas would be furious.

It feels like a kick in the teeth to their entire relationship, to be perfectly honest with you. It feels like the bond has been cheapened if eating ice cream is such a throwaway thing and it belittles the importance that both Xion and Roxas have put on it and what it stands for.
