i'll agree about the fellden mod drama but amber being terrible at gilgamesh, or just being a terrible person in general isn't irrelevant. she continues to be terrible, she's just able to hide in a big cast now.

as much as these threads keep going off topic into fate bullshit, i can't believe almost no one mentioned that gilgamesh is a seriously obnoxious character and no i don't care which gilgamesh

i'm willing to bet seth and amber are in here more than anything because who the fuck else would care about the dubious honor of playing this character in the first place.

this. gilgamesh is an awful character and only awful people ever seem to play him.

it's because the narrative around him is awful.

rpers lean into it. he is definitely their power fantasy darling. but even without all that, in the canon itself he chews scenery. putting aside the rapey shit discussed in the other thread, and that's already a big thing, a "good Gil" is still going to chew scenery and take over threads.

bringing up the canon point issue doesn't help because extra/ccc and babylonia are almost worse on selling the idea of how great and wonderful he is in every single scene even when he is wrong or loses or is outmatched overall.

this is how i feel about all fate characters tbh. boring, annoying, overdramatic even for animes
