My big worry is that if I go un-anon with my concerns, it will be held against me. Maybe it wouldn't officially, but the mods have already shown that they take all sorts of shit into consideration when declaring someone a problem player. I would feel better giving my complaints if I knew Andy would be stepping down. "Oh, OK, I promise I won't do that shit while I'm wearing a mod hat" wouldn't cut it for me at all. I wouldn't even be OK with him saying "I won't do that shit at all any more, even in situations unrelated to the game" because I can't trust that he won't bring this sort of pseudo-therapist bullshit "logic" with him while on mod duties. I do not trust him or his judgement to be OK with him being a mod.
If they let anon happen in the game HMD I hope we have, I may post. If they let anon happen but have IP tracking on, I'm using a proxy or having someone else post for me.
I also hope they won't screen the post. Seeing other people speak up is good for confidence. Plus, seeing what other people have brought up can remind others of things they might have wanted to bring up, but forgot. It could be that no one thinks to bring something up because they assume everyone else mentioned it already. Maybe someone else can clarify something when they realize what the other's getting at. Having a screened post for this sort of stuff wouldn't do a lot of good, IMHO.
Any word on when the mods plan to post this magical game HMD yet?
