Whoa. I remember seeing that guy's comments in the posts when T9 was closing and thinking "man, awkward." Had no idea it was the same person.

Can they hold on to that hype? Will it go on to success or disappointment?

Well, in either case, they'll keep printing money regardless. They're too far down the line now to just stop.

I definitely apologize for the tl;dr in that case! G-Senjou and the Muv Luv series I totally forgot about though -- and I guess Sharin no Kuni on the subject of Akabei Soft2, but I haven't really gotten into it yet despite it being the kind of thing I normally like.

Some of the sex in Forest is necessary for the story (though it could've presented those points in a different way without losing anything, I think), but for the most part it's really obviously shoehorned in to make the game sell since it came out in the early 2000s. But that said, I didn't feel like there was a super huge amount, but I'm probably desensitized to it? Anyway, it's pretty subjective -- the only thing I'd be wary of is that there's a decent (3 scenes, 4 or 5 depending on how you interpret a character design) amount of sex with underage girls, and a few of the scenes are written a little creepily?

But overall it was a pretty fun ride and Nagatsuki is a beautiful wonderful character and if you can stomach all of that, I'd recommend it! Kara no Shoujo, on the other hand, has a fair amount of gore), but if you want to app Saya someplace, I don't think it'll be anything you can't handle.

Do you have a place in mind, anon :o

decollage. beef with one of the mods in particular, only made worse by this latest clusterfuck. At least that gives me a more legit reason not to touch it with a 10-foot pole?

i didn't like the premise ahead of time, but it's gone from 'mild irritation' to 'holy fuck i am waiting for this game to crash and burn'.

Dear friend on my timeline,

Stop complaining to me that no one comments to your plurks when, guess what, you no longer comment to anyone else's, and haven't for months. Communication is a two way street. When all you talk about is how unproductive you're being in your research because you'd much rather make out with your boyfriend, people are going to lose interest.

Exit Void - One of the mods talked shit behind people's back

Haven - Too many people I don't get along with in one game

Zodion - Does the wank ever go away?

TLV - Rei

Very cliquey and elitist, but that's not the problem: you can play or let play with whomever you want in your game. The problem isn't even that they highlandered their characters and went around bashing anyone else who played from CLAMP on the anon and the now defunct rp secrets communities.

It's that they did all that and were mostly bland, or OOC to boot. Look down on everyone else all you want, but at least be better than them, Christ's sake.

I don't like the idea of new types, but sadly it's not something we can discard yet (for Sylveon at least, Mewthree is boivusly Psychic). If we do end having a new type, at least I hope it's not any of the shit fandom has been throwing around (sound, light, love, fairy, wtf).

I agree with this. If I do find time to join I would really want to be a genuinely active and engaged member of the group and not just join to bolster numbers. Enable people who are interested and can genuinely respect what the game is trying to build, not the ones who are holding off because they know it'd be disrespectful to join and then do nothing/not be able to do as much as they'd like.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-10 11:47 am (UTC)(link)
yeah. i can understand the frustration on either end.

the thing about the social system is that nobody is automatically refuted just for extra experience - all they can do is collect their advice, but nobody has the power to place ic or ooc pressure on anybody with the power of a 'police force' behind it.

what gets me about horror/mystery games with police forces is that it ignores that unlike real life, the level of peril for every individual in the game is drastically heightened, sometimes including risks of permanent death. the idea that anyone would join this game just to sit back and let themselves be protected from the environment they apped for is dense. people are always complaining about slice of life in horror games and i think a lot of it comes from people having to sit on their thumbs because it's 'not their place' to do something.

but in my opinion if what is discovered is important to the character's prerogative to survive and thrive in their environment, which it is because this is a horror game we're talking about, there should be nothing to stop them being able to seek it out.

i dont rp with her or actually communicate with her online and I have literally never replied to anything at wankgate because it doesnt ever matter, but i do know her IRL and she does actually have chronic pain and a lot of difficulty functioning. like shes lost tons of weight and is generally pretty exhausted all the time and does go to the doctor constantly.

funny thing about something that is chronic is that it just might come up All The Time.

Just unfollow if you dont give a shit.

jfc what is it lately with people getting all policey on grammar and syntax? we can all type """"properly"""" but probably no one has logged into their gaia accounts to do literates only rp in about 7 years so fucking cool it. it adds to the anon thing in case you didnt realize

oh him.

he's such an awkward guy and i see him pop up in mutual friends plurks these days and i had him added ages ago (we were both in damned iirc?). he's not bad in friends' plurks, but in his own plurk he does really awkward political/hot topic plurks. i know he's is heavily conservative, but he reminds me of old man conservative rather than ron paul/libertarian conservative. the biggest problem is his victim complex, and while he leads people on and pretends to be open to discussion, he ends up backing away and just wanting asspats. having a victim complex that huge is apolitical imo. i used to be told he's a nice guy, but i never saw that. i just see him as a guy on the internet with low self-esteem wanting reassurance. i feel like a lot of his friends are blind to that because they just keep giving him excuses or stupid cuddles on plurk. though i think most of his friends no longer talk to him about his views and opinions much anymore because they even know it's not defensible.
