honestly mostly of them aren't very ic to begin with in somarium in general, much less the clamp cast. it can still be fun, but i've been there and had a lot of friends there and overall the tag quality is slow and not very good, and it still adheres to the old 2007-era standards of ic, which focuses more on fun and ic drama than it does on actually being in character.

i think that what most people take issue with isn't that the characters are acting like asshats, but that their asshattery isn't treated as such. it's treated as ~real, genuine expressions of kindness and friendship or whatever instead.

I wouldn't mind so much if Chihiro's situation was left more open to interpretation, but in canon it's pretty clearly spelled out that his arc is meant to deal with societal pressures about gender roles.
