I'm thinking it's just because it's a Jason month. Network's for mass communication, easier to ask a bazillion people how to food or what's going on, or general information gathering than trying to pull it out from a log, especially when you can't be sure who'll bite and try to force it out in some contrived manner that way.

On the one hand, not all LA characters are played the same way, don't be fucking stupid. There're different genres of shows and different types of characters within said shows, and there are certainly different kinds of RPers who pick these characters up.
On the other hand, in my experiences, LA-players tend to focus a lot more on shipping and "let's have our characters totally get drunk at a bar!!!" than on plot. ( On the third hand, which is probably a tentacle, while shounen protagonist players are all about moving plot forward, they're usually also always for making their, and only their characters look good. Sometimes I'm not sure whether I'd not sooner take more slice-of-life than the god/infomodding. )

She didn't conduct herself poorly. She was just factual about it. She didn't give anymore or any less so that it was still clear but she also wasn't setting a standard of debating the AC rules every time someone throws a hissyfit about failing activity standards they've known about for seven months. There's a time and a place for that and it's not when you're pissed off that you failed and are trying to fight it.
this. i thought they did a great job at handling that issue too and it's such a problem in japan that it's refreshing to see how this series handles it (not just in that case but in general). it's easy to see why people grasp at the idea that chihiro's trans but i don't think anyone should use that to erase the actual issue and then keep crying transphobia.

tbh barely makes ac every round. it's really frustrating to not have a character i like around because the player doesn't have enough time or drive or whatever
I think olesia was very curt and to the point. The argument Funk was trying to make had already been discussed when AC was changed and I agree with olesia's standing on it. It's always people that make bare minimum that argue about past months' threads being used for AC. Feferi is almost never around and it's really discouraging to people that like the character and want CR with her when they're basically squatting and firing out just enough to make AC- if even.
There really wasn't anything else olesia could have said about it that she hadn't already. She clarified the rules and the actual AC is not the place to be trying to weasel out of the rules for your own benefit. If Funk felt strongly about changing the AC and asked elsewhere when they weren't on the chopping block, I don't doubt the mods would have responded favorably or at least considered opening a public discussion about it all over again.

Most of them are just poorly suited for dealing with elements in a game setting, because the anime and video game characters have probably existed in a world similar to the game atmosphere. Dean Winchester just cannot handle the same sort of problems that Isaac Clarke can handle and vice versa. They'll both make do in their situations and adapt, but since a lot of LA players haaate thinking outside the box (I've noticed this trait is really common in LA players and I AM ONE), they aren't going to play it like that.
So you're left with a Dean Winchester mun who wants to antagonize the werewolves and vampires in the game (which is IC), but doesn't do much with the plot, because instead of adapting, they're trying to do whatever they feel is the most IC that won't cause any sort of growth.
