yeah i think maybe the problem isn't so much that other characters aren't picking up on a problem, but maybe op isn't giving the right cues that someone else could reasonably pick up on.
if my character is lying through their teeth and you note that despite the character being good with lying and the other calls them on it wihout being a psychic, that's infomodding. if my character is a shitty liar i will include a number of tells in their body language, maybe mention how obvious they'd being about not being honest. the other character calling them on that isn't infomodding, it's reacting to what i've given them to react to.
write your body language. it's more fun for both you and the other player when it's picked up on.

YOu'd not be an infomodder if you actually play with people like that, the people you're playing with would just be batshit insane.

I didn't even put my character in, because it just seems cheap somehow. I mean, I guess if your character NEVER TALKS ABOUT THEMSELVES, but how many characters really have DEEP DARK TRAGIC SECRETS that anyone could do anything with.
It'd be one thing if anyone got a decent plot out of one of those revealed profiles, but mostly it's gonna be used for coddling and hurt/comfort and maybe some CR arguments.

Pavlov reflex, you hone right in on the most irrelevant piece of information because it's bolded. Meanwhile something simple like app processing is placed on hold and other mods can do nothing about it and you ignore the statement.

I still have yet to figure out what the fuck that was about.
My other favorite was being rejected for picking a controversial canon point for a character with multiple personalities and was told I had to revise my entire app to fit into an end-canon scenario, which completely removes the duality for my choice to apply for the character in the first place. After a bit of back and forth with the mods, my app was ultimately rejected.
Bonus points? A similar character with a similar situation was allowed in, no problem.

Unless I know the person, the person mentions they're brand new to DWRP as a whole or if I'm super excited for the character they play, I don't comment to their intro. I've seen people get no ooc intro replies but go on to get HUNDREDS of comments on their IC intro.
