I think the game I'm in is dying and I'm too busy right now to get into a whole new one so I just have to keep sitting and waiting for things that are out of my control to change. Feels fucking rotten because it's like my RP life is stagnating and I'm seriously surprised about how low this has gotten me. But there really is nothing I can do about it right now.

seriously. i'm a LA player and i make an effort to have my character interact with others. it's just like meeting people irl - everyone has different stories, personalities, etc.

having mental handicaps is the best way to play geniuses tbh. my main muse is very gifted, both academically and otherwise, but the series also shows us that he can have very flawed trains of thought, come to wrong conclusions, show strong personal bias, and make some really boneheaded mistakes. he wouldn't be nearly as flawed if he was a perfect smartypants who was good at everything.

Ah see I was thinking of the drama it'd cause, but the scrambling to make sure stuff is covered with folks before it somehow gets spilled is a lot more entertaining. I mean there's some stuff I can see it'd be fun to reveal? But yeah, I didn't submit one either.

- People whining about being asked to do something and then complaining when they get in trouble for NOT doing it. jfc people be responsible for bloody once

The player is not on plurk and to be quite honest, I really don't know how to bring this up without coming across as mean. It's a semi-PSL with only ten people.
I have politely pointed out flaws in the player's plot ideas when we were discussing them and something was glaringly obvious to me, but those were more specific things rather than "Yeah, that witty and clever type of character you like to write? You're not good at it. At all." I'm only going to make an issue of it if the player OOCly complains about their characters not being given credit as being the geniuses they are.
Right now, I only tag their "genius" characters when they tag me first. Fortunately, in the current thread where I'm dealing with this, I am playing a character who is very blunt.

That Super Robot Wars game. Execution is horrible and I don't want to deal with the neckbeard crew.

I've played in a game where this happened naturally! It was quite fun.
Originally, a politician type character tried to start setting things up in order to change the complete anarchy structure in game at the time, and he put together a small police force. A lot of characters insisted on being in the know while refusing to be part of it, a lot outright refused its existence, and only a few wanted to be part of it. The characters who didn't like it were crazy vocal, and it was a huge deal for a while, but because game mechanics made punishment for crimes very difficult (very few power caps and no magic materials that negate abilities), defiant characters would purposely act out just to give the police force a hard time.
Eventually, the politician type guy left game, and the force changed hands so many times that it fell out of relevancy. A couple soldier type characters revived it as a protection squad, only intended to act in emergencies and help organize everyone else, which has worked pretty well.
