I'm actually glad the fandom is increasing, I am. I love the series and hope people get into it and I can have fun and thoughtful discussions with them about the canon (except about Hannibal Rising).
The thing I, and I get the feeling maybe other people here, have issue with is the amount of character assassination that is going to occur because fandom is fandom and the people who like to reduce fascinating characters like Will and Lector down to one dimensional buttsex buddies always seem to be the loudest of the new members when a fandom first gets big. I know this will die down, but I can't blame people for having a kneejerk DO NOT WANT reaction.

Vou is a huge bitch where everything must be her headcanon or bust, and she likes to force her kinks into games whether they fit or not. I've seen her bitch out people for even considering apping characters into games just because she didn't like the character, or for having perfectly reasonable interpretations of Homestuck that she doesn't like.
She's also this gross queen of TMI and didn't regularly mark her plurks. She's the kind of person that thinks she's super edgy and cool just because she's into gore porn, and other stupid things like that.

C&C - I play mostly from eastern canons and when I tried to play there like two years ago I had to pull teeth to get CR. Wasn't fun. Maybe it's changed.
TLV - Shitty mods and wanky game and on top of that it's a journal based game.
MallowHallow - No standards, flake central and the mods literally let people skip the easiest AC in the world. Might as well be a DR.
Destiny Strings - Crap mods, one with shiny syndrome and cares more about pretty coding and the other is an armchair therapist.
Zodion - I like sex games and some of the things about it but I heard it's pretty wanky and I don't want to deal with my crap castmates for the character I want to app in there.

its mostly the fate/etc. players and fate casts are wank bait in just about every game i've ever been in. cliques, ships, melodrama ic and ooc... we're a hellion short of fate/wank bingo.
