It was a meme post(And a quite generic meme which could actually turn into something more angsty and dark if you let it). But you're right, I should have been much more direct. I was trying too hard to joke about it and brush them off, but, duh, subtle doesn't work. Especially when subtle doesn't seem to directly say "I DONT WANT THIS RIGHT NOW".

It's just hard because the relationship in question hits on some very personal and upsetting things for me, and I just met this person and I don't want to load them down with that.

Either way. I should be more direct.
