Mine's been more about giving the other person's threads and posts a good scan before plotting or jumping in because more than once I've been hit up by or approached people myself for threads only to find out on first tag that these aren't the kind of people I would thread with elsewhere.

Boring, shit tier, tag after tag of pointless chit-chat; smut threads can take a hell of a lot of time and work, especially the good ones, and while I know it makes me a grade-A dickhead, I'm going to drop crap tags in favor of not-crap tags. In a regular game, eh, you deal with boring and one-note conversations and logs all the time, but they go quicker and mean less.

When you've got the third or fourth person tagging into your log that's just waiting for something to happen to them or pulling out the scripted "Oh nooooooo" responses, you're going to start to prioritize. This isn't the whole game of course, but it's enough for me to watch when and whom I tag.
