i once witnessed aforementioned frothing misandry first-hand when a mutual friend was having relationship problems with a guy she was dating. even though the complaints from said mutual friend were legit she used it as an opportunity to claim all men are evil scumbags and the guy's behavior was typical male behavior (not verbatim but basically what she was getting at). i'm a feminist too but i can tell you the kind of shit this guy was doing was stuff not exclusive to the male gender. you know women are capable of being assholes in relationships too.
