sorry if my example didn't convince you, i'm not following the plotting post and honestly ok? that's cool that that happened? but my point was that you can't dictate to someone what their character can and cannot do. would you like it if someone told you that your character was unable to do something when you knew perfectly well what they are capable of? i know i wouldn't.

would i mind if for the sake of the plot that it be made difficult for them because that would be more fun? sure! sounds like a great idea. i would plot that out, it'd be great. all i'm saying is you can't nullify other character's powers. i wasn't aware that i wasn't being clear enough on that point.
