Serious question: Assuming that a person in question is not in fact a sociopath without emotions, and has done something they feel to be morally repugnant, should they...not feel bad? Like I have no idea what it feels like to have done that, thank fucking god, but I feel bad enough about little things I've done in the past like shoplifting or hell just being a bully.

I don't think excoriating someone for feeling very human emotions makes a lot of sense when there's other shit to excoriate him for.
