the reason these are shit is because dreamwidth lets you expand cuts straight from the recent entries page instead of having to click on every entry to read it
so in a journal that isn't doing that hipster shit you can just scroll down the recent entries page and open the cuts to read everything without loading a dozen entries separately
having a navigation sticky is ok if you show multiple entries per page tho
