some games just don't reply to every ooc intro, especially when there's a lot of them. if you'd been talking about your ic intros I'd understand, but this just seems petty. probably best for the game you guys got out of there, though.

there wasn't and at least a mod could've said welcome to the game. but you're right. the quality of the game is so much better now that we decided not to join.

i thought this was game pet peeves, how is this not a legit pet peeve.

Just because it's a pet peeve doesn't mean people can't call you out as a whiny tittybaby for having that pet peeve.

But there's a difference between having this as a pet peeve and fucking dropping over it right off the bat. Who the fuck cares if people don't reply to your OOC intro? The IC intro is what matters. Now people will see you two as flakes who app only to drop.

The game is probably better off without you.

If the pet peeve had just been that you didn't get a greeting that would be one thing. But dropping over it makes OP and OP friend look so much worse than the game they left.

You know that reply you get to your application that says hey, welcome to the game? That's the mods welcoming you to the game. Expecting them to do it again in your ooc intro is extra stupid.

i never reply to ooc intros. if the character interests me, i'll tag their ic intro when that goes up because that's the part that actually matters.

and no, i don't give a fuck if people reply to my ooc intro posts either.

same here. i don't expect anyone to reply to my ooc intros, actually. i only put them up to see if there's anyone i know in the game who i've lost touch with, not to make new game friends right then and there. if it happens, cool! but i know that's highly unlikely

idgaf if strangers comment, but i do gaf if no strangers reply to my ic intros. since i'm there to rp, i would definitely be offended if no one, you know, actually rped with me

I think it's a game size thing. I mostly play in smallish games and in those, I think replying to OOC intros seems to be more of a thing.
