when someone in a plurk starts acting like a pushy know-it-all about a series or whatever i usually check their profile to see how old they are and they're almost always 30+. it's scary because i'm in my late 20s so i'm afraid time is running out before i become one of these people.
Depends. If they're being a pushy know-it-all about something old as ass like LotR, I usually assume they were into it as a twenty something the way people are into Glee and Teen Wolf now. When you're a thirty something and some teen idiot comes prancing in ten years late to tell you how cute Kurt and Rachel are together in ten years, I'm pretty sure you have permission to go full know-it-all asshole on them.
