if it wasn't for rotg characters and this was like two or three years ago i swear you were talking about discedo
well only if she apps characters she's infamous for playing like soma. we won't know if it's her unless its that until she gets in because player names are kept private in the app status list and reserve list.
players who tend to be bad with one character tend to be bad with others, though. and if by some chance she does get in, she'd be pretty easy to ignore, so i'm not really seeing the problem here.

if it's "there's spooky shadow people and also they have knife fingers??? they're hiding in your walls, don't get stabbed" or some generic horror movie monster shit like that, they shouldn't get repeated passes because your characters being in danger of run of the mill bodily harm shouldn't be surprising wrt being in a horror game
but if things like "human cordyceps" or "you're cursed, your blood turns to ichor swarming with tiny white worms" happen at least semi-regularly, putting a solid number of opt-outs per person is just breeding an environment of "you must be this hardcore to play" and would probably breed inactivity, because players would feel obligated to participate in events that made them uncomfortable just in case they needed to save their opt-outs for any worse events later on and barely do anything
ia that horror games should cut back on offering players opt-outs on every event since duh, horror game, but anything like that should work strictly on a case-by-case basis between the players and the mods

What if you require a list of triggers upon acceptance and keep a google doc listing any that were reported? If it's an actual trigger you won't forget it.
Actually, even better: include it in the app. That way if someone submits an app with a mile long list or has some really common to horror thing (ie, blood or death) on the list mods can handle it before it even hits the game.
This is why I like journal-based games. Since networks/action posts aren't separated, most people put an action option alongside network posts, so you can completely ignore the network stuff and still tag everything.
I love creepy/spooky stuff but can't handle the amount of gore that shows up in most horror games. ): It makes me nauseous to read.

You can do that in a comm-based game, too. It's not really necessary to split most games into network/log comms - in fact, smaller games probably benefit from not being split. It's just one of the many things that's become "standard" in dwrp for no good reason.
