Outside of maybe one of my characters who doesn't handle loss well, I'd definitely agree that it's better to get to play with some castmates for a time than not at all.

Now I have seen some people that are definitely worthy of side-eying when they app a new character. Like one person I know who dropped a character because they realized they didn't enjoy playing a character of X type. Okay, that's cool, except not too long after that they turned around and apped another character of X type and of course soon after drop them. I get that not every character works out for a player, but if X type of character isn't for you, don't go and app another character like that and think things will be different. If you just need a few attempts to find a character that works, then at least show you are learning from your mistakes and try characters who don't share things in common with the characters you dropped. If you find you suck at getting an antisocial character out there, then don't app another antisocial character to replace them. Try and figure out what didn't work and app a character who doesn't have those traits.
