yes it usually does fundamentally alter a character because you're twisting canon friendships into lust. this is shitty, and look where it got us?
we're at a point where you're expected for your character to agree to also have sex if you befriend another female character. its completely ridiculous.
sometimes, girls are friends with othergirls without wanting to fuck them. consider this please before you make a character ooc.
... uhh, what? i plan out ships in advance and my female character has plenty of female friends, though. also im not even playing canon f/f ships, they're always crosscanon, her female friends in canon are still just her friends.
