Don't feel bad, your life does not have to revolve around another person's unhappiness.

I say this with experience as someone who has poor mental health, has been used like a psychiatrist for other people, and took too long to figure out that my own happiness and life SHOULDN'T be sacrificed for other people. You deserve to live without having a friend force you into doing something you neither want nor are qualified to do something about.

I have experience with taking the need to put others' mental health before my own to dangerous extremes before("nearly flunked school because I told myself playing therapist was more important than doing my homework/getting enough sleep to function" bad). Learning to stop feeling like I owed it to people to spend all my time trying to fix them when they weren't even trying to help themselves and when to step out and attend to my own life was the best thing that ever happened to me. You have no reason to feel bad.
