To give more context to this, the player has a friend who plays an fanon!Portugal and they kept talking about how ~perfect~ her Portugal would be for the game and all that. This player fails to realize canon OCs in Hetalia are a touchy area because who knows what Hima is covering. Most Hetalia RPers understand that but she doesn't, and the comment about castmates being fine with it, how would she know? Unless everyone who's apping from Hetalia is her friend or future castmates are her fried jfc so embarrassing.
Portugal barely has the four chara sketches done by Himaruya and like, zero word on their actual personality. That's fine in memes/museboxes/possibly DR's, but would ANYONE think they're actually playable in a game? Charas like Thailand, Vietnam, Macau, India, etc. at least have apparitions in canon or a reasonable degree of info about them, but Portugal has next to nothing technically speaking aside of their prospect looks.
The friend's Portugal may be good (and if they play the Portugal I'm thinking of, they seem to be a fun intepretation), but damn. What if Portugal ACTUALLY appears (I know, one can dream) and then turns out to be COMPLETELY different to their interpretations? D:
I still hope Hima will pick either of the two chicks. They're so damn pretty.
