Maybe they're doing this because there's some fucking hardasses who basically say THIS IS HOW LONG YOUR CHARACTERS NEED TO KNOW EACH OTHER BEFORE DATING.

except now I have a character that would canonically rush into a relationship because they're desperate for affection so I said fuck it and am playing my first ship ever after years of rp but I'm still waiting for these people to come out of the woodwork and get buttmad at me tbh
honestly? no one will give a fuck. my character met his girlfriend and by the end of their first thread they were making plans to go on a date. i haven't had a single person say anything bad about it, in fact a lot of players in the game think it's cute and ship it.
nobody actually gives a shit unless the ship is objectively gross and being played as cute, you have a grudgewanker or the ship is WIDELY OOC and by widely OOC i mean sora/palpatine levels
