I was wondering about that, nonnie. I haven't seen Kämpfer in a while but I'm pretty sure that Natsuru identifies as a guy despite all the gender bender deal, and it's kind of a plot point when he forgets to switch pronouns (from the very manly "ore" to the more gender-neutral "watashi") and risks getting caught.
So seeing the player refer to Natsuru as a girl when this isn't exactly the case... uh yeah, idk.
Prolly just a matter of preference, isn't it? I mean in the RP circuit gender bender stuff always seems kinda weird about that. Like it's been a long time since I've seen one around but whenever I saw someone play Ranma Saotome who is the epitome of the term, they usually swapped him/her words depending on the form Ranma was in.
