that's how dumb you sound. 9/11 is a recent and huge historical event for the United States. it touched many lives, not just those who lost loved ones. as a result a lot of people remember it vividly and like to talk about it because that helps them cope with tragedy. deal with it.
Everyone copes with tragedy differently and its rude to force it on to people who don't want to talk about it. How about you deal with that and find some people who deal with it in the same way and want to talk about it instead of shoving it down the throats of people who want to move on or moved on years ago?
I had people tweeting about it literally five minutes after midnight.
But I would give a pass to anyone who was actually personally affected by it, like had a close relative who was a firefighter or in that plane/building there or they lived in NYC in general at the time.
only thing I've seen is two people (one military, one not) grumbling about being told about how they should spend their day. Easily muted, sicne they were in one plurk.
