if they want it to be their playground, then fine, more power to them, but as soon as mods make a public game for people to app into, by definition it is not just their playground anymore
having rules from the outset that people happen to not like doesn't make it a playground.
cfud doesn't allow sex. holly heights doesn't encourage horror. the box isn't going to be focusing on slice of life.
all this game has done different is to make more rules about more things. making more rules doesn't make it their playground. it has rules and a premise the same as every other game, the only thing different about this one is that its rules are pissing off more people. there's nothing "playground" about it.
I think you're the one confused. it kind of is, they're the ones running it, doing all the work and keeping things afloat so they do get to decide the rules and that includes what is and what isn't allowed.
you wouldn't go into a seafood restaurant and start bitching about why they don't serve steak would you? same concept.
No, but you would go into a seafood restaurant and start bitching because they wouldn't let you order food because you're wearing the wrong color necktie.
A better analogy is that you went to a seafood restaurant and started bitching because they don't serve chicken nuggets because it's a fucking seafood restaurant and they don't have to sell everything just because you want it.
The difference between anime and LA is greater than the difference between a blue tie and a red tie. Anyway, many restaurants operate a dress code. Plenty of places only allow formalwear and plenty of places won't let you in if you're too dressed up. The restaurant owner or manager gets to decide what the dress code is, and from that, who gets in. So long as they tell you this before you book a table, that's their right.
except that the difference between anime and la isn't greater
it's literally a difference of visual style and country of production
keep trying to pretend that there's some major thing that divides the two, but when it comes right down to it, they're both telling the same kinds of stories with the same kinds of narrative structure
Wrong. By your logic no game should ever have any rules because they might make somebody feel butthurt and left out. That's not how games work, dingleberry.
