make a game where only characters whose names begin with B are allowed for all I care
BUT THEN I WOULD FIND A WAY TO GET AROUND THE RULES BY APPING A CHARACTER WHO ONCE GOT CALLED BITCHFACE IN AN ARGUMENT
i could get around the rules and be accepted into a game where my character wasn't wanted and where i had no intention of actually playing
think what a superb use of my time that would be
the people in that game would be so sorry then that they only let characters with b-names in! they'll pay for having the audacity to start up a game that only let in characters whose names started with a b!
the only people that might wank are the tittybabies that play in port that think they have a monopoly on shipping ooc in a game. people would ignore them and the game would probably be more popular for actually being open to more than one genre.
the la players are not going to give any shits about another shipping game opening. of course it'll be a rip-off, but who cares? all new games are a ripoff of something now, because any game that has anything even remotely different gets beaten into the dirt.
a mixed-medium game would probably be 10x more popular, although you can be sure that people will begin complaining about the medium divide if it actually does get players from both sides.
They dug their hole to play in, they get to deal with people looking down into it and mocking them or wondering what is even the point of the hole.
It's such a hilariously arbitrary rule and it makes me think of every anon comment of "but anime side of the medium divide is just as elitist!!" because come on now
