I don't suck at video games, but I vastly prefer to play them myself. but I just can't for so many of them because it's an expensive hobby, especially if you want to play any of the newer stuff. With almost every other canon, all you need is a decent computer but unless you have a beast of a computer to emulate games on (and that still won't work for stuff like 3DS) you need to buy consoles and the games to play them.
and right now my computer needs a new heatsink or a new cpu so it can't run any top heavy games. :| but even then new games cost about $50+. and then there is the time needed to play a game more than once.
