Source please? Because I've played in some of those games and the quality overall is no different than comm based games. In fact I seem to notice that journal based seems to be a great way to eliminate a lot of lazy players.
it's about ten times worse when they dislike something, unsurprisingly.
uh lmao i'm not saying x/y fans are the scum of the earth. but. um. they kind of are? and i'm going to make a ton of condescending comments to this effect about it without realizing and/or caring how ridiculously elitist i sound? AND NOW TIME FOR 90000000 MORE PICTURES OF MY DISGUSTING SHITLORD BOOTYBAE UUUUUUUUGH I CAN'T. I JUST. WOW.
we all need to have a collective sit-down about this and agree it's annoying as fuck. i get the impression a lot of people hate this sort of talk anyway but just do it because everyone else is and dwrpers have always been closely related to sheep in their evolutionary lineage.
That and outside of COA that does have a smut AC requirement, they are sex games, not smut games and have zero rules saying people have to play out sex, just that the character have to have sex or deal with consequences.
like anon above said, that is a slur in japanese too.
the actual word for lesbian in japanese is still plain old レズビアン/lesbian, and the non-offensive (and common) abbreviation those who prefer using a shorter word use is ビアン/bian.
listen i am totally 100% behind this, because, again, not even from a pa point, i would really mean that because sometimes shit doesn't work out
but for problem pains in my side? you bet i will give the most firm, but professional, we'll be sad to see you go while just secretly vibrating and waiting for them to actually just fucking leave
i'm going to go look at the rules again and make sure there is a respect the mods clause. i am pretty sure there is but you know, doesn't hurt to double check. i might revise it to be more thorough because fuck this shit.
See, this is what I really don't understand. Like, straight up, I will admit that I'm very visible in my games, but I'm also a bit of a slower player, and in one of my others, the setting is kind of hard to work with, so I'm much more under the radar there, but I am pretty content with what I have, and what I'm not happy with, I'm working on, quietly. No blaming, no complaining, whatever. So, I can see how some characters might be just fine with doing lesser amounts of stuff.
However.
There are some characters who are just plain fucking invisible. Add to that, they want to do things, and then when given them, they don't follow through. I'm always surprised when I see them eke out a thread for ac. It's like "we (still) have a ____?" and it's especially egregious since I do ac, and actually have a good memory for who's doing what, where, how often and what their tagging's like, so every month I'm just blindsided but certain replies. I'll even have a look around and for some people these are the ONLY threads they'll have and it's clearly just to get by, so it's really, to echo you point what are you doing here? You're not involved with the plot, you're not building cr, you're not asking what you can do--you're not even circlejerking with your cast mates. Just what exactly are you doing, here?
fuck that. characters should be able to affect or change things, unless they shouldn't in some circumstances, but there is a difference between adapting to natural ic actions and consequences and ignoring something integral to the game's very setting.
