slight take off of the above, but what are your own personal "rules" and beliefs about memes? what do you judge people for? what's crossing the lines, etc.
replying to my top level and asking me questions and checking if i'm okay with a character or options if okay.
asking me if i will start isn't my favorite thing but i'll deal.
refusing to pick an option, make a suggestion, and hinting around that you don't want to start is getting you fucking ignored.
i can't stand when someone tags into several of my top levels at once. like, yeah, i replied over there. not a reason to tag every meme i put my char in.
don't ignore stated preferences.
otherwise, idgaf. tag it when it's fun, drop it if it's not, tag who you want, when you want, with whatever content you want.
I sort of change how I post things depending on the meme. If it's a smut/shippy meme, I put my preferences in the subject header (m/m, m/f, f/f, ota). If it's a gen meme, I don't usually feel the need to put gender preferences up since it's a damn gen meme and who cares? Anything else like certain castmates only or age specifics or yes/nos, I put in the comment. If someone goes against that? Instant no.
If someone goes around handing out the same pic/gif prompts to everyone they tag, regardless of appropriateness for the char in, say, the smutty picture prompt meme, I tend to avoid.
Anyone that frequently, and most annoyingly with people they're not friends with so they haven't earned the right to be lazy with, goes and specifically tags in to people and tries to get them to write a starter. I'm sorry, but if you find you can't manage to set the stage, I have little faith that you'll want to play out a thread or be able to move it along without me having to push and force you to do so.
People that PM a player that ignores their tag and asks why. Or someone that, when turned down for something, keep trying to convince the other party to play with them anyway.
I played a female character who ditched her male counterpart. The other mun and I had a lot of fun tearing their relationship apart by emphasizing how incompatible they are and it culminated in this huge explosive fight. Them slowly becoming friends again, albeit very strained friends, was also super fun. She ended up in a happy cross canon relationship.

she's also deleted her journal so the thread that started this all looks like this: http://cosmographia.dreamwidth.org/143983.html?thread=29261679#cmt29261679
dear trace, since you're reading this: you being a shitty editor who didn't ask for permission to edit those codes and then CHARGE PEOPLE MONEY FOR THEM isn't going to just get forgotten. hiatus as long as you want. we'll be waiting.
I don't know. If they sparred with Korra not using utilising her Avatar or bending abilities, then maybe? But Korra has that distinct advantage and also a more aggressive personality, so under normal circumstances, Asami would probably get her butt handed to her.
Asami is not the hero of LoK, though. She is the love interest. That sounds so uncomfortable to deal with in a cast. Sorry, anon.
i keep wanting to give her the benefit of the doubt considering her situation but shes acting like a three year old. if you overreact this badly to a character reacting negatively to something yours said you really should not be playing in a game.
Let's say for argument's sake that I play Super Popular Guy #3. So a gen meme comes around and I either put OTA in my header or leave it blank because, for the most part, I am OTA. But then a character, or two, or three that I dislike in general or dislike the canon for or dislike the player tag me. They PM and either ask or demand to know why there were ignored or what they did wrong. Other than saying "I don't like you/your character" there's nothing I can actually answer, and their character isn't their fault. Their canon isn't their fault. I've had someone PM me after I tagged their top level and they stated they disliked my canon and could I please delete my tag and not tag them again with that character. I would have been okay with just being ignored, but I respected their wishes and did as they asked.
I can almost assure you that most of the people that tag me and I ignore would start a huge bitchfest if I were to do the same. It then becomes easier to just ignore them.
If you don't want to ignore them, that's your choice and good on you for being upfront with things, but for those that choose to, we're going to do what we're going to do. It's a meme. I am not obligated to give any assurances for memes and I understand I'm not entitled to similar assurances either. Memes get dropped, characterization is generally shit, half of it's ooc. If it was a game setting, I could see needing a reason why you're not tagging someone, but memes? No.
