i only scrolled through a few pages of her tumblr, but how is it that i saw no sign of that shaking and crying self-hate shit on there, when she does it on plurk CONSTANTLY?
she obviously can control herself and knows where not to post that bullshit because her tumblr looks nothing like her plurk. so why can't she get her act together here?
jesus why is everyone here shit? i thought giving the game more time to see if it'd click better with me would help but it was a mistake. this is where fun and interesting rp goes to die, and being aggressively sol is a poor excuse for how bad it is.
A castmate drops your shared game and all associated CR like it's hot (without offering to finish threads or plots, and it sort of screws over their longterm CR), while staying in another game that has the same cast but different players. After they've made it abundantly clear which cast they prefer, former castmate approaches you about doing some PSLs and meme play. What's your reaction?
i'm confused why the mods would undermine their own app standards by setting up a forum where rpers can get their apps doctored enough to be passable
is it for tumblr rpers who have never written an app before in their lives? because ryslig is already easy as fuck to get into for anybody who's familiar with dwrp and doesn't suck
depends. if they played their character well and they weren't completely insufferable, i'd go for playing psls/memes. even if they're just using me as a fun dispenser, i'd essentially be doing the same with them.
In this case I'm the assmonkey who didn't handle dropping in the best manner. I don't want them to be my fun dispensers, I really had fun playing with most of them, but I think I've burned that bridge now.
if they were a dick, i'd laugh in their face. if they just committed the horrible sin of dropping a game they weren't having fun with in favor of one they were, i'd be cool with psling if i had the time for a new psl.
despite what some people seem to think, there's no actual obligation to stick around a game you're no longer interested in for three months just to help people wrap shit up when they can just handwave it in your absence.
I played a very minor character in an UNpopular canon and it was mostly "I AM REALLY EXCITED BY HOW I THINK THIS CHARACTER IS, I WANT TO PLAY THEM OFF OTHER CASTMATES AND SEE WHAT SCENARIOS WOULD OCCUR." A little of the personality was there since they'd appeared on screen briefly, but I knew it wasn't solid enough to app to a game so I kept it to memes. And...
I was completely, totally jossed when more canon came out. The brief on screen appearance had just been an act for the character and wasn't their true nature at all. Whoops. So yeah, I stopped playing the account, although I'm still holding onto it in case I still like the character, different though they are, once the details are solidified.
it depends on what 'making it abundantly clear' means
have they been flagrantly shittalking me or the cast of the game they dropped? if yes, they can fuck off
if they're just being more enthusiastic about the game they stuck with than about the one they dropped? it doesn't bother me and i'd still play with them if they're a good rper
but then i don't think it's really required for people to give advance warning or stick around to finish threads when they decide to drop
That sucks, but if you learn your lesson and look to the future, at least it (hopefully) won't happen again.
Otherwise you can reach out to them, explain yourself, apologize, and ask for another chance. DWRPers don't tend to be mature enough to handle that, though, so it might not go well.
it's because most people use their tumblr for reblogs, and keep their personal shit to other social media sites (like plurk). it's not a matter of whether or not she can control herself, it's just that hitting a reblog or like button is easier than creating new posts on that hell website.
