no, female trek is also wanky. she's just that subtle gonsai style where she butts into conversations, signs in on anon comms to be 2edgy, so on. i see her frequently being a tumblrina on a friends plurk (and i mean tumblrina style sjw while also being incredibly shitty and offensive herself) and i had to block her dumb ass.
i already know the characters aren't that deep or complex, i just find it baffling that kotori is so popular when she has the least amount of personality out of all the girls
like most of these are based on comics to some degree

i'm not sure if it's just me or what, but i really tried to like this show. as a fan of adventure time, steven universe, bob's burgers, the simpsons, regular show, and most other current "for kids" or "whole families can enjoy it (and it's for adults too!)" cartoons i just didn't think this was deep, interesting, funny, and all the references to things i liked (lynchian, conspiracy theories, so on) were so under-utilized it really felt like idk the equivalent of muppet babies in terms of it all and i'm always shocked that so many people like this or were captivated by anything at all. i've watched the first two seasons in continual hope that i would find something redeeming and i just do not get it. it's like every episode i'm waiting for something funny, cute, interesting, obscure, anything and it's like the night before christmas when i was 9- it takes ten years to get through.

Annie is clearly the palest, while Bertholdt and Ymir have are the "darkest". But both Ymir and Bertholdt are not significantly darker than any of the others. I have my own theories on why Ymir and Berthodt are drawn with similar complexions, but I doubt it was Isayama's intention to infer that either of them are from a different race. Especially since the only other race that has any significant meaning in the SNK universe is the Asian race.
And the only reason I am even having this argument is because someone came out and said Ymir was a different race.

idk everyone in c&c had issues with both of them. they were literally tl;dr purple prose buttbabies playing bruce and jim gordon and dream in particular didn't read much of the source material and was playing bruce like he was from the films, got pissy and nasty when she was corrected (gently) or players suggested arcs or told her what bats should know about their characters to make it easy for her, and i remember an entire post where he basically was the worst fake tony stark about women publicly and she clearly had no idea who bruce wayne the persona or the person was, let alone batman.
my big issues were with dream, but reg was like god. who is that eudio stucky player? basically the same thing as that. never called out for it, but all they did was ignore everyone but their ship partners from game to game, and it was always ooc m/m.

there was never a batman cast in c&c tho. there was a rotating number of people and i am on good terms with both selina players and neither of them could stand either of them.

for me when it came to the helper mods it was more about the complete silence. the last thing anybody heard from the mods in an official, open capacity was march 1 on the mod plurk. there was informal communication happening in pps and in other people's plurks but the game went two months with nothing. the helper mods may have been waiting for instructions on endgame from kiss but they could have said something. i certainly don't blame them as much as kiss but they're not without implication in this. not all of us have kiss added and i learned more from anon comms in the end than i did from any of the mods.
