same, especially since it gets really boring really fast once your character gets killed off. and if that happens at the start of the game, sucks to be you.
My character is commonly shipped with his best friend. I don't hate the ship but I hate that people (who aren't the best friend's player) assume we're obviously going to ship them if I'm in a game with the best friend. I've had people come into plurks about game threads going "OMG THOSE HUSBANDS" and even had a character "sense there was more going on" between them even when we were both planning ships with other people.
aren't most of them pretty small? if a lot of people want to play short-term murdergames, it makes sense to have a lot of them running so none of them are overcrowded.
from actual research. i've written papers and given presentations on the state of LGBT representation in video games and other media, both at schools and conventions. historically, gay men are significantly more represented than gay women.
that being said, there are some interesting differences in how they're portrayed. namely, gay women are almost always presented as being part of existing relationships, whereas gay men are almost always presented as single (and often more heavily tokenized). but, fact stands, in terms of raw numbers, gay men are way more common than gay women in the history of video games.
This. I also have the joy of a character whose fandom favorite partner is their stalker and no matters what Word of God says about their relationship being one sided, everyone and their mom ships them and will try to push my character on the ship. So frustrating...
If you're not into tagging me anymore, that's fine. I'll tag elsewhere for my CR. I just hate it when you're tagging basically every other thread under the sun except ours, including the ones in the same OTA
