tbf i have seen this shit happen with non-craus when someone apps in a character that was dropped by a previous player.
I have watched her get into fights on several mutual's plurks. She's aggressive and rude and then she back pedals and half apologizes with a ton of excuses for her behavior when she realizes she doesn't look good.

Knowing that crew, half of them will drop within a couple of months because they're ginormous flakes/shiny chasers and the other half will peter off afterward when their friends leave. It'll be big for a bit but I highly doubt it'll stay that way given their overall track record.
