Because this isn't the exchange I saw. She was creeping in someone else's plurk trying to figure out the mod's identities and not just asking if they were anon.
You don't want to play with us. My sister wanted to come over from tumblr and as I was thinking about all the things she should know, I eventually just went: you know what, we're not actually a nice community and you don't want to play here.
If you decide to anyway, try to remember it's for fun and not to take it personally if people shit all over you. There are a lot of self-important, anxiety-riddled, miserable people in this group of roleplayers who will take that shit out on you if you give them half the chance.
You yourself should also not take any of your weird problems out on others. Try to be positive and friendly, think about other people before you do shit, and when in doubt shoot people a message and ask what works for them.

look, i'll admit there are a lot of assholes in this community. that's not debatable, it's a fact. but not every rper is like that and you shouldn't group us all together under the same umbrella of "you don't want to play with us". speak for yourself, not the rest of us.

ime from over 12 years of rping on lj/dw, the assholes are in the minority. most of the people in this hobby are perfectly decent. they might not be the kind of people you wanna be best buddies with, but if all you're doing is mashing internet barbies together, they're fine to interact with. i can count on one hand the number of genuine bad experiences i've had with other rpers in all of those years here. (and i'm talking "wow this person is a shitty human being," not just "they wouldn't ship with me" or "they dropped all our threads after three comments" stuff)
