I think it's fine if they have an opt-out as long as it's not involving other canon characters. Like 'L got into an accident and castrated himself as a young teen oops' is one thing, but 'Watari castrated L when L went into puberty because Watari's a sociopath' is totally different. You can't just opt-out about that, because it's going to affect Watari and other characters even if they've opted out.

Long time DN player here who is not Lexil and can confirm from many years of playing from this canon that L's sex appeal is a thing. LightxL was like the biggest ship back in the day maybe it's because he's so weird and unobtainable idk but I was a Light and it's more psychological than it is physical, from my perspective

Everything in DN is a challenge. Even sex which is totally not canon but the literal thing of rp is to make your chars 3D and go beyond stupid anime tropes
