tbh if someones at the "bitch eating crackers" level of disliking someone, blocking does *not* help. i've known more than one person who claimed to have moved on from/blocked someone they disliked who still continuously talked about how much that person annoyed them or bothered them on some level, some even going so self-destructively far as to minorly e-stalk them, despite saying they blocked them.

blocking is a tool that only works for people who are willing to just leave it at the block, which is sadly not a lot of WGers, who bring up people they still have grudges against upwards to years after the fact.

I was just thinking that blocking doesn't have to be a thing only for not interacting with extremely toxic people. It can be just to lessen exposure from things you don't like.
