"misfiring" does not refer to misidentifying one identical anon in a vast sea of identical anons

it refers to saying something wholly unrelated in terms of content. you can still think an abon is someone else and be on-topic with the rest of the thread

if there was another thread going on about rebutle and I responded to this one thinking it was the rebutle thread, that'd be a misfire
