why is it always ygo lately

did you drop, anon? because this becomes a really funny comment if you're asking everyone else to do it for you

being that they questioned why ryslig players were still waiting to drop and stated that dropping was the only thing that would snap the mods into doing anything

i think we can assume theyve dropped

of course i did, it's why im so upset. an anon mentioned earlier about losing their cr, their designs, all the things they put work into for the game and how horrible that would feel and it made me wonder hm, how do the ppeople that were run out of the game feel?

im particularly horrified by the racism and harassment that's been brought to light and it made me drop. everyone talks about blm and how they're supporters of black voices but the moment they have a chance to actually stand up for black voices in their space, which already has such a small percentage of black voices to begin with, they make excuses. it's so frustrating to watch

i have them on my timeline and if i'm being completely honest i don't think they have any idea what luc is like or what he's been up to. i've never gotten so much as a hint that they're okay with rubbing elbows with racists and after reading what they said in the paste of min's plurk, they were the main one pointing out why r's excuses didn't justify what they wrote.

re: what they said in luc's plurk, with luc and r absolutely raging as though min had put out a hit on them or something, my assumption is that they probably thought that r fixed their shit or whatever but were still being harassed. they weren't, obviously, but as all these threads have made clear, luc practically invents shit to flip out about and is extremely convincing about it.

but either way, having had them as an acquaintance for a long time, i would be extremely surprised if they even knew this was going on or that luc was lying about all the horrible malicious things his victims have supposedly done.

i have literally never known it to be anything other than ygo

no, i think they got it right.

i was talking about doubting that kit knows luc actively misrepresents things in order to make the people he hates look bad and ayrt was saying that they hadn't known either.

for transparency's sake i ALSO didn't know until this whole explosion. as far as i knew luc was just a popular person who drew played in ryslig and drew stuff.

i know, i'm +1ing the likelihood that they glazed over luc's behavior in a sea of other plurks same as i did

that's fair, saying they're stupid was being unkind. it's easy to forget when it's all laid out like this that this is all a series of events that took place over a long time.

i will, but not before calling out thus outrageous behavior. the mods should at least make a statement on the ooc comm but they know if they brought attention to it, they'd lose way more of their players.

its selfish, disgusting, and i will never view these people the same again. i hope they feel ashamed to have not only participated in all of this harassment, but they also punished a black player for voicing their uncomfortableness with blatant racism. racism they at first agreed looked bad, but the moment luc made a plurk to lie about min and call THEM racist, they just fold.

this is the norm in this community more than a lot of people realize. ten years ago wankgate's #1 problem with anyone was being "sjw"

we're all the same people and not many of us have changed

i would argue that this wank blowing up the way that it has is proof that many of us have actually changed

what would happen if a game opened up with a policy like "no wols, no ygos" and just tried to avoid the wankiest canons outright

i hope so. but a lot are still exactly like they were, they're just doing it in "private" among like minds

experience tells me the ygos and wols would endlessly probe the mods with "questions" that are just rephrased versions of the thing they originally asked and were turned down for repeated endlessly until mods cave and give them what they want

in this case, apping into the game

well it's time to change. we're all in our late 20s to 30+ and we need to stop allowing this behavior to be normal. i know it's futile to say but it still needs to be said

enough is enough

they're not even necessarily doing it in private, you still get anons slamming down casual ableism here like the edgiest of edgy lords

they just use different words and phrases now, even if it's obvious to everyone what they really mean
