That's going to change based on who you encounter, though. My game has a very prolific character who is so far from canon that they might as well be a fandom oc. They tag out a lot, so everyone who's in the same game has probably had an experience with that character. In the general scheme of players, they're a minority, but we often use general terms to complain about a particular thing. Maybe half of us are complaining about the same person and don't know it.

When you said "40s male character," I thought you means a male character from the 1940s. Easier to imagine one of those having problematic sex with a teenager.

I’ve seen with my own eyes a terrifically OOC character become popular in a game because the player supplied the drama players wanted. Entertainment value will always beat out characterization.
