i totally respect that you find it creepy.

on my end, i can't see how rping as teenagers necessarily equates with being "obsessed" with the sexuality of very young people. there are lots of reasons i play my characters (both old and young), but none of them was chosen because of their age. there's also a ton of reasons to rp sex that have nothing to do with finding it hot. if someone only rps teen characters smutting, then i can see it being considered an obsession. if it's one of many characters of various ages, then i disagree.

also am not trying to change anyone's mind. i shared an unpopular opinion and i am now sharing my thoughts/disagreements, but i certainly am not out to convince anyone to accept something they find creepy.

I don't think it's inherently creepy to look at comment counts on a stranger's journal and notice them going up

if I'm playing with a stranger on a meme and I know nothing else about them it lets me know if they're not very invested in our thread or more committed to whatever else they've got going on

that's fine and I don't drop threads because of it but it helps me manage my own time and make an educated guess about whether I've got a thread partner who's comparatively lukewarm, I find it useful info
