Made a sock account for this.

If you want, go ahead and PM me your resume, blocking out whatever personal information you don't want to share (name, phone number, email). Leave the state on there if you can though because every market is unique depending on the state.

Tell me what industry you're applying to, what companies you've applied to.

I can tell you off the top of my head most companies require all jobs to be posted internally before/when they are posted externally and that a lot of times the external positions are just "for show." Basically they already have an internal in mind.

Second, a lot of hiring managers don't know what they want and so their job description doesn't match what they're looking for/what the job will actually require.

Neither of the above things are items you can do anything about, but just things to be aware of if you aren't already.

Honestly, if you're in the area of one of my company's locations I could probably get you a job if you're into manufacturing, nursing or veterinarian stuff, which is probably a long shot but you know.

the community is made up of a lot of sjws, and certain segments of feminists (who, unsurprisingly, are mostly fatties themselves) have been on a weird crusade to not only end fat shaming but make fat sexy

aside from getting a few fashion magazines to virtue signal, their attempts to change human nature have largely been a flop

bait item #1: "sjws"
score: 1/10 - obvious, too early in the comment to be successful bait

bait item #2: "feminists"
score: 5/10 - likely to score hits, but unlikely to be fun or interesting

bait item #3: "fatties"
score: 0/10 - boring, repetitive. get new material

bait item #4: "virtue signal"
score: 4/10 - see comment on "feminists"

total score: 10/40 - barely passable, suggest finding a new angle for fresh bait

some probably have some kind of adhd or ocd that makes them post on habit even if it's not popular

those people need to get some self-awareness and stop spamming instead.

Judging people on job hopping is encouraging toxic work environments. Everyone's afraid of being seen that way that they stay in jobs where they are used and abused in hopes that it won't reflect badly on them that they wouldn't stay with a crappy company.

Do we really need a hot meme, a cute meme, a beautiful meme, a rating meme, a most attractive feature meme and a Would you hit that? meme

Can we please just combine some of these into one? Maybe make a Cute, Hot, Cool or Ugly meme?

as someone who has had multiple office jobs over the years I don't think anon is wrong in thinking something is up if you're switching every single year depending on the position. it would need more digging into the background to know if it's due to layoffs, toxic environment, or issues with the applicant themselves.

it's a different case if they've had some jobs that last a few years and some that don't, but if you're changing jobs every year or a few times a year over multiple years pre-pandemic, that can be a red flag.

i don't know how it is in other industries nor how toxic they can be, i just don't think ayrt's being unreasonable for that.

Internal references are the most valuable. Network, make a friend who works where you want to work and ask them to submit your resume as a recommendation. There's usually some monetary incentive for the current employee to do this too.

Internal recommendations almost always guarantee a screening call.

I work in tech so 'making a friend who works where I want to' has never been hard or disingenuous but I recognize this may be more difficult in other fields and other situations. Just passing what I know along though, job hunting is soul sucking.

it like the first few examples of these really took off, which was great, and now we're cursed with randos just pumping out samey iterations of this meme 3x a week for the attention

between that and some insignificant variation on WE JUST HAD SEX going up every week i'm just not feeling it anymore

Same with the hot or not and rate my ass when it was few and far between.

This is the simple truth in 99% of cases (including the hordes of people who shout about how it's a medical condition IN THEIR CASE and therefore ttly beyond their control).

But this is wankgate and therefore talking about things like having a healthier and less disordered relationship to food will get you accused of "causing" disordered eating. Because everyone here lacks perspective on what a healthy relationship to food actually looks like.
