that's not how the phones in this game work. you can't misfire or put up an open text to the whole game, it's to one person or a small group and you have to have the name and room number.

I don't know what kind of dogs you're around anon but the grand majority of dogs I see in public places on any given day are reactive, loud, and poorly trained, if they're trained at all.

man this reminds me way back when i was doing forum rp ages ago, i was playing a cute relationship with someone i only passingly talked to ooc. i played a woman, they played the guy. after we exchanged names the other player had a very obviously feminine name and thought that i would freak out knowing that i was playing out a ship with another girl all along. i was still in the closet at the time but it really didn't bother me and i was confused why she was so afraid.

yeah that's very different from my experience because dogs are very well-behaved here in parks and malls when they're allowed, because you aren't allowed to bring them in unless you secure a permit beforehand that guarantees that the dogs have had their shots. i don't think i've ever seen one on a public transportation since they're strictly prohibited here.

if anything, it's the dogs who aren't behaved that's the minority. for restaurants, dog owners are only allowed to eat al fresco for the most part, so they won't be stuck in a closed space with other diners.

that's why for me the reaction seemed like an overkill, but if that's more common there i can see why people hate dog owners more.

some places don't have those rules, some have rules but poor enforcement (either it's not policed much or the penalties are light)

i think you're thinking of 'dog friendly/allowable areas' and those dogs are generally different because people follow a certain set of rules/guidelines that are often legally posted in places (owners will/will not be liable, blah blah blah). a dog on a bus that's a fake emotional support animal is a common occurrence in a lot of places in the us.

seriously. go look up some reddit posts about entitled pet owners whose pets attack actual service animals/people/destroy property and how their owners are the loudest screamers about ada rights and you can't discriminate or ask what their service is (yes, most places can actually ask if it's a legitimate service dog/support dog and what its function is, just not what your medical issue is). these owners have ruined it for a lot of people. they bring dogs in restaurants that don't allow them, in grocery stores, in theaters, and then get mad at other people for pointing out it's not allowed. either for health reasons, hygiene reasons, allergies, etc. nope, they'll throw a fit because fido is their baby and keeps them calm.

also, depending on how long the ride is, there would be no time to give that dog some exercise. bored dogs, no matter how well-trained they are, get fucking obnoxious and will bark non-stop. I definitely would have given any dog owner an irritated look for bringing their pet on a trip like that.

I know one of the mods. Yes, tell your friend to report the dicks who are doing this. If they're being harassed, the mods will jump to nip that shit in the bud as soon as they're alerted to it happening. If there's a misunderstanding and your friend posted something incorrectly, they can help explain it to them so there's no more issues going forward. But one of the biggest problems is people just complaining about things happening over at BS, without bringing it up to the mods until it blows up into a huge thing, and then the mods end up finding out only because someone who knows them is like "OMG X-Problem-Player is so ridiculous, right?" and gets a "Wait, what?" reaction in return.
