i personally do not know anyone in it but the tdm was pretty fun. that said, it seems like it's literally a clique, not just a cliquey game but one clique's musebox of a game so if there are people in it you avoid you probably won't get an invite because they will also want to avoid you.

it is totally fine for a game to consist of one group of friends, no shade, but it doesn't look like they'd let in anyone who someone didn't get on with. i didn't ask for an invite from the tdm because i don't know anyone in the group.
